The 36″ (914 mm) diameter Hemi firepit is both substantial and restrained in its design. At 17.5″ ( 444 mm)  tall, this fire bowl creates a gathering place for hotel or restaurant dining and backyard marshmallow roasting with family and friends.

The Hemi 36 fire bowl is available with a certified natural gas, propane, or bio-ethanol (UK & EU only) burner that produces a substantial amount of heat.  With manual or adjustable electronic ignition, this firepit has a 5 year warranty or 25 year warranty with cover – the best in the business! The Hemi 36 is the most versatile fire pit we have as either a residential or commercial product with many options and accessories including metal drinks rings, Ipe table tops, protective covers and glass shields.

Colours

We know that colour is an integral part of your home’s decor, that’s why we have curated 12 beautiful contemporary colours to complement any deck, garden or exterior setting. A great range of colours allows Solus to suit your aesthetic.

Our proprietary high performance concrete colours are applied to the concrete at the time of manufacture and become part of the concrete. This allows them to be durable in all weather conditions and gently patina over time.

Toppings

Solus Hemi firepit toppings, lava rock and refractory firestones

We offer options on toppings: the beauty of lava, and refractory firestones – made from concrete they are indistinguishable from natural river stones, whilst being inherently safer. Natural stones should never be used in a firepit as they will split and fire out of the bowl, but this won’t be a worry with Solus!

IPE Table Top

Our custom fitted IPE wood table tops allow you to enjoy and use your firepit as a table when not in use and you need functional space for entertaining. Ipe is one of the most sustainable hard woods on the planet.  Not only is it naturally fire resistant, it will not bend, torque or twist.

Metal Drinks Ring

Full ring tops are fitted to the Hemi 36 and 48 firepit models. The centre disk can be removed to light the firepit, leaving a ring table (in the larger sizes) perfect for drinks and snacks. They are constructed out of noncorrosive aluminium and stainless steel.

The Hemi 36 firepit allows for three fuel options: NG, LP or bio-ethanol (UK & EU only).

  • Our certified firepits can be switched to either gas or liquid propane allowing flexibility (this process is not automatic and does require a change of fittings and burner jets).
  • The bio-ethanol fuel burner allows you to take this beautiful fire pit into more enclosed patio settings where venting is limited.

Product details

Our natural gas fire pits are certified as ‘Outdoor Decorative Gas Appliances’ to Canadian CSA 2.41-2014 and American ANSI Z21.97-2014 standards. We also have full CE certification as EN 509:2000 – Decorative Fuel Effects Gas Appliances and EN 60335-1:2001 Household and Similar Electrical Appliances. Each of our fire pits comes with a warranty on workmanship and performance Warranties are extended with the purchase and use of one of our All-Weather covers.

Each burner is assembled and tested in our facility from non-corrosive brass, stainless steel, aluminum and thermoplast components.

Propane fire pits are certified to ANSI standards. All propane burners are assembled in the USA from brass components and are individually tested to meet specific certification requirements.

Ethanol burners have been designed specifically for Solus, are constructed from 3 layers of stainless steel, and meet the highest quality standards.

Each of our fire pits are handcast from high performance, fibre-reinforced concrete which has been tested to ASTM standards.

All concrete pieces are sealed with a penetrating sealer to minimise weathering. Table surfaces are treated with an extra protective coating to protect from prolonged exposure to food and drink spills.

Ordering, Shipping & Lead Times

Our concrete products normally ship from Vancouver in 4-6 weeks within North America, but if you buy one of our most popular product, colour and size combinations, you can get quick shipping on request. You can select this option at checkout.

Quick Ship 7-10 days: Concrete products of size 26 and 36 in cinder, halva, linen, portland and shiitake, in quantities less than 3, can be purchased and will ship from Vancouver within 3-7 days. Size 48 is normally not available for quick ship, but some individual items and colour combinations are. Contact us to confirm availability.

Regular shipping times: Shipping times for gifts: 7-10 days within North America.
Replacement parts normally ship  in 3-7 days within North America.
Concrete products (firepits, water features, concrete accessories, surrounds and tiles) ship in 4-6 weeks unless they are quick ship eligible.
